BERLIN-BASED insuretech Wefox strives to deliver tenfold the value of traditional insurance companies. The company offers a range of insurance products and is active in five European countries. Wefox has more than 1,200 employees across eight offices. The company automates the majority of internal processes and relies on local agents to provide a human touch. CEO Julian Teicke made every Wefox employee a shareholder following an oversubscribed IPO and $650m funding round in July 2021. It’s raised $918.5m since its launch in 2015. The BV jury presents Wefox with the 2022 Most Disruptive Insuretech Company (Europe) award.
