The renowned Dutch company Royal Philips Electronics is the largest electronics company in Europe and among the largest and most successful in the world. Founded by Gerard Philips in Eindhoven in 1891 (and with still a very importance presence in that city), the company is now headquartered in Amsterdam with annual revenues of well over 20 billion euros. The Philips vision is that of a healthy and more sustainable award through innovation. BV’s judging panel heartily agrees with this vision and confirms that Philips is most certainly playing its part. This year’s award Best Consumer Electronics Manufacturer Europe goes to Philips because of the company’s visionary approach to conducting its business and developing new products.
