FORENSIC Architecture (FA), based at Goldsmiths, University of London, collaborates with activists, NGOs, legal teams and media outlets to shed light on human rights violations. The research agency has developed a multidisciplinary investigative approach combining spatial and architectural analysis, digital modelling, immersive technologies, situated interviews and academic collaboration. Its findings have found their way into courtrooms, museums and assemblies. FA receives support from the European Research Council and puts income from commissioned projects back into ongoing research. The BV jury presents Forensic Architecture with the 2021 global award for Best ESG Multidisciplinary Research Group.
