ACCESS BANK celebrated the contributions of its female staff and clients at an International Women’s Day event this year. Women make up about half of the bank’s workforce and 40 percent of management. Access Bank facilitated 100 million naira (over $240,000) in financing within the first three months of 2022 through a flagship gender empowerment programme launched eight years ago. The loans support women’s professional and personal growth, including subsidised assistance with IVF treatment. The BV jury presents Access Bank with the 2022 Best Socio-Economic Impact Bank (Nigeria) award.
