IN 2021, Ørsted became the first energy company in the world to present independently validated, science-based, net-zero emission targets across its complete value chain. Ørsted expects to achieve carbon neutrality across scope-one and -two operations by 2025. Fifteen years of strategic transformation have shifted the company away from fossil fuels to renewable energies, with ongoing ESG initiatives that seek to protect biodiversity, promote green investments and develop local supply chains. The BV jury announces Ørsted as the repeat winner for the Most Responsible Renewable Energy Company Leadership award (Scandinavia 2022).
