TURNKEY supplier CorPower Ocean is gearing up for the commercial launch of its first full scale Wave Energy Converter system, the CorPower C4. The demonstration site off the coast of northern Portugal has been fully prepared and is ready for the upcoming deployment of the C4. The accomplishment is based on decades of research and years of step-by-step development and rigorous testing, addressing key challenges of wave energy – storm survivability in combination with a large amount of electricity produced compared to size, weight and cost of the equipment. The BV judging panel congratulates CorPower Ocean on its imminent market launch and presents the repeat programme winner with the 2022 global award for Most Innovative Wave Energy Technology.
