SABIC describes its view of sustainability as a journey of continuous learning, adaptation, and improvement. It applies that wisdom as part of the responsibility it owes to stakeholders. SABIC is a leader in energy efficiency, and has developed a prototype home with a “net-zero” energy balance — it generates as much energy as it consumes. The demonstration home was awarded a LEED Platinum rating as the most energy and resource-efficient building in the Middle East and Africa (MENA). The BV judging panel has conferred the 2018 award for Most Energy Efficient Infrastructure Solutions (MENA) award — the second such win for Sabic.
