WISE began as a lifehack between friends; now it’s helping over 13 million people and businesses save more than a billion pounds a year. The start-up was known as TransferWise for a decade before rebranding and listing on the London Stock Exchange in July 2021. It closed its first day of trading with an $11bn valuation.
